The Team
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer having an experience of 3-5 years to join our Data Engineering team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines on an AWS-based cloud platform. You will be responsible for end-to-end data integration, transformation, and monitoring, while ensuring high data quality and availability to support analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, ingestion, and business intelligence teams, and provide critical support aligned with U.S. business hours.
The candidate should be a mid‑level Data Engineer to support our data pipelines, data models, and reporting needs. This role focuses on hands‑on ETL/ELT development, SQL, and cloud‑based data workflows. You will work closely with senior engineers and reporting teams to ensure reliable, high‑quality data delivery.
What You'll bring,
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and/or AWS services (e.g., Glue, Lambda, S3).
Ingest data from various sources into our data lake and data warehouse environments.
Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance existing data workflows and improve performance.
Monitor daily data pipelines and assist in troubleshooting production issues.
Write efficient SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and analysis.
Support reporting teams by ensuring data availability for tools like Power BI.
Contribute to documentation, coding standards, and data quality practices.
Provide nearshore support to help ensure smooth operations across time zones.
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
Strong SQL skills (joins, window functions, aggregations).
Experience with Python for scripting and data transformation.
Hands‑on experience with AWS basics (S3, Lambda, Glue, or similar).
Understanding of data lake and data warehouse concepts.
Familiarity with dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake).
Experience supporting BI/reporting teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to CI/CD or DevOps practices (nice to have, not required).
Experience with Redshift, Snowflake, or similar cloud warehouses.
AWS certifications (optional).
Experience with metadata, cataloging, or data quality tools (optional).
