Data Analyst - Solution Monitoring - IoT (f/m/d)

Enpal’s energy fleet spans thousands of devices installed in homes across Germany. Solar inverters, batteries, EV chargers, heat pumps, and more form a distributed system that needs to stay healthy and connected. The Solution Monitoring (SOMO) team is responsible for exactly that.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst who can turn IoT data into clarity, detect patterns before issues escalate, and help us build a smarter, more reliable energy fleet.

What You’ll Do

• Monitor fleet health by analysing IoT and time series data to understand device behaviour across regions and conditions
• Decode and classify errors such as communication failures or broken data connections, working closely with Customer Service and Engineering
• Identify operational improvements that reduce downtime and improve device reliability
• Build predictive insights using environmental and contextual data (for example weather or pollution) to anticipate failures
• Create dashboards and models that make fleet performance easy to understand for technical and non‑technical teams
• Automate reporting so the organization can act quickly and consistently

Must have

• Experience with operational analytics and IoT or other complex, event driven, time series data
• Ability to spot patterns, anomalies, and improvement opportunities in large datasets
• Strong data modelling and visualization skills
• Experience with report automation
• Hands on experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL tools

Strong bonus

• Understanding of streaming aggregations (for example Databricks streaming)
• Familiarity with distributed, event driven systems
• Experience in IoT, energy systems, or Microsoft based data stacks

Nice to have

• Experience building centralized monitoring systems or fleet management analytics
