We are now hiring a Data Analyst in Auckland, NZ.

Requirements

As a Data Analyst at Serko, you will play a pivotal role in extracting, analysing, and interpreting data to provide valuable insights that support data-driven decision-making. Your expertise will aid in enhancing our products and services, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients. 

What you’ll do 

  • Data Analysis: Apply statistical techniques to analyse data, extracting meaningful and actionable insights that drive business value. 
  • Data Interpretation & Communication: Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for decision-makers. 
  • Data Reporting & Visualisation: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports summarising key findings and trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven recommendations and insights. 
  • Data Collection and Extraction: Utilise tools like Databricks, SQL, and PySpark to extract and process data from Serko’s Snowflake database. Ensure data quality and accuracy through data cleaning and validation processes. 

 

What you’ll bring to the team 

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role. 
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualisation tools such as Power BI. 
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively. 
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations and best practices in data management.
