Verifies and maintains accurate metadata in the master and control files of a database in a user environment.
Updates master and control files as needed.
Identifies, researches and analyzes data errors or inconsistencies within a database system.
Recommends appropriate corrective actions.
Will present problems to and discuss solutions with database users.
Generates and reviews system reports.
Responds to requests for reports or information.
Maintains documentation on system files and reports.
May recommend database improvements or coordinate system modifications with appropriate personnel.
Will become familiar with operational, legacy data source systems in order to better understand analytic data lineage and repositories.
Will engage in source to target data mapping.
