Cyclic Crew Labourer - North

Based in Taumaranui, you’ll be part of a tight knit crew carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance across the Ruapehu District northern network.  Your day-to-day work will include:

• General road and footpath maintenance (potholes, drainage, slips, litter, vegetation control).
• Cleaning and maintaining roadside assets (signs, barriers, street cleaning).
• Supporting civil construction and drainage activities when required.
• Operating vehicles and plant safely and efficiently.
• Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and environmental standards.

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking team player who enjoys hands-on outdoor work. You’ll be safety-conscious, adaptable, and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards working in all conditions.  This is a great opportunity to build a career in civil construction while working locally and making a visible difference in the community.

To succeed, you’ll bring:

• A full Class 2 driver licence (preferred, will assist with training if required).
• A strong work ethic and commitment to health & safety.
• Practical skills with tools, machinery, or outdoor labouring.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a small crew.
• STMS Level 1 Practising or civil construction experience (desirable, but not essential).
