Cybersecurity Engineer JNY

About the Role

ActioNet is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer JNY to join our team. In this role, you will provide Tier 3 engineering services, implement cybersecurity requirements, and deliver expertise in security architecture, threat assessment, and network protection to ensure mission success.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement cybersecurity requirements aligned to overall architecture.
• Design, develop, and test standardized IaC/CaC .
• Provide Tier 3 engineering services.
• Deliver expertise in network protection needs assessment, requirements elicitation, security architecture, and threat assessment.
• Support computer security, communication security, networking, and security technologies.
• Contribute to hardware and software development, test and evaluation, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and supply chain risk analysis.
• Provide input into analyses of alternatives, requirements, engineering, and risk trade-off analyses to achieve cost-effective security architectural designs.
• Conduct security risk management activities, producing related documentation and advising engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Assess threats and vulnerabilities to ensure mission/business success.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Degree: Technical BA/BS degree.
• Experience: 5 years with BA/BS degree.
• Commensurate: High School diploma or Associate degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer for large, complex programs/systems.
• Specific Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio); experience working with DoD or USG programs.
• Certification(s): DoDI 8140.03 IAM or IAT Level II or above.
• Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance required.
