Cybersecurity Engineer III (CSE3)
Location:NIWC Pacific – San Diego, CA
Pay Range: 120 - 130K (Depending on experience level)
Certification Required: CISSP (DoD 8570 IAM/IAT/IASAE Level I compliant)

Strategic Data Systems is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer III to support cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability mitigation, and system security engineering at NIWC Pacific. This role provides senior-level expertise in protecting secure network environments and ensuring systems meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures to strengthen network defense and resilience
Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and cybersecurity compliance requirements
Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies
Ensure security controls protect digital infrastructure and sensitive information
Monitor systems for threats, anomalies, and potential security incidents
Support incident response activities and assist with remediation and reporting
Provide cybersecurity engineering guidance to system administrators and technical teams
Qualifications
CISSP certification
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics with computer science concentration, or related field preferred
Minimum 10 years of professional cybersecurity engineering experience
Active Secret Security Clearance
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and network defense
