Cybersecurity Architect (Remote - US)

This role provides the opportunity to shape and defend the security architecture of enterprise systems across a global technology environment. The Cybersecurity Architect will lead the design, implementation, and continuous enhancement of robust, scalable, and compliant security solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security requirements into business processes and technology projects, while mentoring colleagues and driving adoption of best practices. This position combines strategic foresight with hands-on technical expertise, offering exposure to emerging threats, regulatory compliance, and advanced security technologies. The role operates in a collaborative, innovative, and dynamic environment that values proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities

• Design, review, and develop comprehensive security architectures for systems, networks, and cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and risk management activities, documenting findings and coordinating remediation efforts.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security teams to integrate security requirements into projects and initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise during security incidents and support incident response coordination.
• Evaluate proposed business processes and solutions to embed security measures proactively.
• Stay updated on emerging security threats, trends, and technologies to inform architecture and strategy.
• Support sales cycles by responding to customer security questionnaires and ensuring alignment with security standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, SOC, ISO 27001.
• Experience in network security, cloud security, and application security.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Relevant security certifications preferred, including CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and/or CEH.
• Preferred: expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), container security (Kubernetes), Infrastructure & Policy as Code, scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell, Terraform), DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipeline practices.
