Customs Compliance Specialist

Post Mission

• Ensure the compliance of customs clearance operations with Turkish Customs Legislation, maintain the balance of business control and compliance requirements with company and project requirements, , collaborate with entire supply chain team to achieve department goals, handle supplier and customs authority relations.

Job Description

• Coordinate customs clearance operations, balance the requirements of customs authority, customs regulations and legislations with company and project requirements
• Perform internal Controls over customs compliance and process management, report audit results, highlight pain points, offer solutions, define actions, follow up progress and get results, establish continuous improvement in customs compliance
• Look for new certifications and solutions that may add value to business and save cost.
• Understand the business requirements and develop robust processes & policies, implement new process and procedures to improve business control and service quality,
• Manage supplier relations and performance, manage relations..

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration or Engineering,
• Very good command in written and spoken English (Chinese is a big plus)
• 2-3 years experience in Customs Compliance, Supply Chain or Logistics
• Familiar with HS code management, customs valuation, origin rules.
• Proficient with MS Excel, and other office tools, (Proficiency in digital tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau..etc) is a plus)
• Be able to work in flexible hours, Team player with strong communication and persuasion skills, solution oriented, task driven problem solver with good organizational skills, open for new challenges,
• Male candidates should have been completed the military service or postponed at least for 2 years.
