We are seeking a Customer Service and Success Intern who will play a foundational role in supporting our growing Commercial Operations and Customer Support teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about customer service and wants hands-on exposure to core commercial workflows, order operations, CRM/ERP systems, and cross-functional communication. This internship will also provide opportunities to build soft skills, gain visibility with leaders across the organization, and learn how customer support powers the full order-to-cash lifecycle.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Learn the end-to-end customer service workflow, including order review, data entry, and cross-functional communication
  • Assist with reviewing customer purchase orders to ensure data accuracy before order processing
  • Support the Commercial and Operations teams by gathering required order information and learning how orders flow through CRM and ERP systems
  • Learn to track and update order activities in CRM tools to enhance visibility and communication across teams
  • Assist with following up on open customer orders, tracking progress against lead times, and escalating risks when needed
  • Learn how to process Field Service Product Requests, including gathering required details, reviewing for completeness, and entering information accurately into CRM/ERP systems while coordinating with Field Service Engineers and Operations.
  • Learn how to prepare cases related to returns (RMA), service requests, product exchanges and or replacements
  • Assist in coordinating instrument installations by gathering required site readiness details, scheduling with Field Service Engineers, and supporting the communication flow between customers and internal teams.
  • Support ongoing customer needs by learning how to troubleshoot basic inquiries and coordinate with Customer Support and Operations
  • Shadow the Customer Support team to understand how workflow decisions impact shipping, invoicing, and customer satisfaction
  • Build foundational knowledge of ERP/CRM processes and how accurate data drives the order-to-cash lifecycle
  • Support Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) efforts by helping to manage customer surveys, track responses, summarize feedback trends, and learn how CS uses insights to improve workflows and customer experience

Education and Experience:

  • Junior or Senior year student in a Bachelor’s program related to Business, Biology/Life Sciences, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field of study
  • Strong interest in customer service, commercial operations, order management, or cross-functional support roles
  • Must be a self-starter with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, systems, and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
