Customer Quality Engineer(open to new college graduates only)

TLDR

Drive quality improvements and resolve customer issues while participating in quality initiatives within a diverse and innovative global company.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Work with internal technical organizations and teams (such as design, assembly and product testing) to drive resolution of customer issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to drive complex issues to closure in a timely manner and clearly communicate the result.
  • Drives quality improvements to meet all customer expectations regarding PPM of product shipped, quality of corrective action reports, and cycle time of customer request.
  • Manage customer escalations and closure strategy.
  • Provide lessons learned for new and sustaining product.
  • Own all end-to-end Sustaining customer issue resolution process.
  • Monitor Customer Integration/Field data.
  • Participate in Customer QBR’s, Audits, and drive Customer Quality initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of customer application, workload, and systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of WDC manufacturing process, timely follow through, and customer focus.

Requirement

  • Strong knowledge of quality and reliability, driving issue resolve by 8D concept.
  • High level of analytical and numerical skills, strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication (fluent in Mandarin and English) and presentation skills.
  • Resilient and able to deal with challenging situations.
  • Flexible to meet the demands of the role.
  • Quick learner - can pick up new tools for reporting and analysis.

Minimum qualifications

  • Good English communication in verbal and written.
  • Value added if good at Japanese or Korean language.
  • Major with double E, science, computing are preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of professional experience.
  • Bachelor with outstanding performance in college.
