Customer Insights Analyst Intern (m/f/d)

TLDR

Contribute to Flink's strategy by analyzing customer data to drive retention, while directly influencing business decisions and capital allocation.

In this internship, you will be at the heart of our strategy to maximize Customer Lifetime Value.

You'll dive deep into our data to uncover what keeps our customers loyal and identify the key levers to drive long-term retention. Your work will directly influence key business decisions and help shape the future of Flink's customer retention strategy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Crack the Code on Retention: You will use causal inference to identify the root causes of churn and the true "drivers of value". You will dig deep into the data to distinguish between correlation and causation, finding out exactly why customers stay or leave and what we can do to extend their lifecycle.
  • Bridge the Business Silos: You will work across different domains (Operations, Revenue, Pricing) to understand how different levers impact the customer experience. You will connect the dots between operational performance and customer loyalty.
  • Steer Investment with ROI: You will help answer the "Where should we invest?" question. By quantifying the economic impact of retention drivers, you will guide the business toward the initiatives with the highest financial return, directly influencing capital allocation.
  • Translate Data to Strategy: You will turn complex analysis into a clear strategic narrative. You will define what needs to change to improve the customer experience and present actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

To succeed in this internship you:

  • Have a Quantitative Foundation: You are currently pursuing or have recently completed a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a field such as Data Science, Econometrics, or Statistics.
  • Are technically confident: You know the basics in SQL and you have gained first experiences building statistical models in Python or R.
  • Proactive Problem Solver: You don't wait for instructions. You have a curious mindset, a passion for understanding customer behavior, and the ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining a keen eye for detail.
