Custom Furniture Designer

RemoteVA PH is looking for a highly skilled Designer/Draftsperson who specializes in custom furniture design (not standard kitchens). The ideal candidate will be an expert in producing detailed, accurate technical drawings and be proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp. A strong background in custom woodwork design is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

-Create precise and detailed 2D and 3D drawings for custom furniture projects.

-Collaborate with clients, project managers, and craftsmen to ensure designs meet specifications.

-Prepare accurate shop drawings and construction details.

-Modify and adjust drawings based on feedback and production requirements.

-Ensure all designs comply with structural and material considerations for custom wood fabrication.

Requirements

Qualifications

-Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (required).

-Proven experience creating detailed technical drawings for furniture or millwork.

-Knowledge of custom wood construction techniques (highly preferred).

-Strong attention to detail and ability to translate design concepts into production-ready drawings.

-Must have your own laptop or desktop.

-Stable internet connection and a backup device/connection for emergencies.
