Our client is a Taiwan-based medical AI start-up that is aiming to remove obstacles encountered by healthcare practitioners at various points of care, we are focusing on the early and accurate detection of chronic diseases that pose a threat to the significant portion of our society that is aging. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join their core team as a rapidly growing Medical AI company.
As a CTO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technological direction and driving innovation in the healthcare industry through AI technology. Their mission is to make healthcare available for everyone, and the CTO will be responsible for leading the software engineering team, managing web development, and overseeing algorithm engineering.

What You Will Do
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Manage and lead a full-function software engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Build and mentor a team of frontend and backend developers, ensuring the successful execution of projects and deliverables.
- Oversee a team of Algorithm Engineers, led by an Algorithm Manager, to drive the development and optimization of cutting-edge AI algorithms for medical applications.
- Foster a start-up mindset within the team, encouraging innovative thinking, continuous learning, and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving market trends.
- Strategic Technical Vision:
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Product and CEO to define the company's technical roadmap and long-term vision.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the healthcare industry, and assess their potential impact on the company's product offerings.
- Drive the implementation of AI technologies and methodologies to enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of healthcare solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the VP of Product to align technical and product roadmaps, ensuring successful product development and deployment.
- Collaborate with the CEO to set overall company objectives and strategies, contributing to business planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Engage in effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and investors, to present technical concepts and solutions, and address any technical concerns or inquiries.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical leadership and expertise across software engineering, web development, and AI algorithms.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable and robust software solutions.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in the healthcare industry.
- Oversees Service Operation
What You Will Need
- General Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing and leading software engineering teams, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong background in system design, with expertise in architecting and scaling software solutions to handle high volumes of data and users.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and infrastructure automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, coding best practices, and version control systems.
- Strong business acumen and experience in a B2B (business-to-business) environment, with a focus on delivering technology solutions that meet enterprise clients' needs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic technical decisions to drive innovation and achieve business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Technical Requirements:
- Good at any of the listed language: Node.js/Python/Scala/Go/TypeScript/JavaScript
- Good knowledge of Network API Design (e.g. REST or GraphQL).
- Good understanding of any SQL/NoSQL database (MySQL /MongoDB/Redis etc.)
- Familiar with git.
