This role is part of our Experience & Engineering team based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. We combine our skills in developing future-ready technical solutions with our expertise in creating beautiful designs to deliver exceptional and engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients like Action, Bolia, Inter Milan, Danish Cancer Society and many more. Good understanding of processes required to build a digital experience are a must.

JOB PURPOSE

We’re looking for a CRM Engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of data, automation, and marketing technology. Someone who likes solving technical challenges, understands how CRM platforms work under the hood, and collaborates easily in multidisciplinary teams.

You’ll be part of our CRM Practice, consisting of CRM Engineering (your team), CRM Strategy, and CRM Activation. Together, we design, build, and bring customer journeys to life, combining strategy, technology, and execution to create meaningful, scalable customer experiences. Here, we combine future-ready technology with thoughtful design to create digital experiences that build long-lasting relationships for brands like GANT, Inter Milan, bol.com and Just Eat Takeaway.

In this role, you’ll build the technical engine behind CRM strategies, enabling personalised, automated customer journeys across channels for leading brands.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Translate lifecycle and campaign requirements into technical solutions.
  • Build and maintain CRM automations, workflows, and journey logic.
  • Configure marketing automation platforms.
  • Set up data structures, segmentation, and triggers for CRM journeys.
  • Develop integrations like API connections and out of the box connectors.
  • Troubleshoot issues and optimize CRM platform performance.
  • Work together with CRM Solution Architects on larger CRM implementations.
  • Document solutions and follow technical best practices and governance.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 2–4 years of experience in CRM engineering, marketing automation, or a related technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more CRM platforms (like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Bloomreach, Adobe Campaign, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP Emarsys etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, scripting, APIs, or structured data formats (JSON). You are not a developer, but you understand code.
  • A problem-solving mindset and genuine curiosity about how systems work.
  • Comfort working independently on smaller projects, and collaboratively on larger ones.
  • You’re comfortable being client-facing and explaining technical topics clearly.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced agency environment with a high level of autonomy.
