• Location: Raleigh Convention Center
• Dates: March 13, March 14, March 15, 2026 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour

GalaxyCon is hiring Crew Members to support our live pop culture conventions in all cities where we currently host events. This is temporary, event-based work supporting various departments onsite.

Crew Members report directly to their assigned Crew Lead, who serves as their primary point of contact during the show.

AVAILABLE DEPARTMENTS

We are hiring for departments based on show needs.

• Guest Relations/Talent
• Registration
  
• Merchandise (Merch) 
• Programming 
• Photo Ops 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties vary by department but may include:

• Assisting attendees and guests
• Managing lines and crowd flow
• Checking in attendees and distributing badges
• Supporting panels, photo ops, or merchandise areas
  
• Providing excellent customer service
• Following direction from your Department Lead
  
  

Crew Members Preferred Qualifications:

• Be able to stand for extended periods of time
  
• Maintain a professional and positive attitude
• Work well in fast-paced environments

SCHEDULE & HOURS

• All positions are day shifts during event days
• Hours vary based on show needs
• You may be released early depending on staffing needs
• Exact call times will be provided before the event
  
  

Please plan ahead:

• Plan for high volumes of traffic for leaving and entering the site location.
• Pick up your badge at the Info Booth before your shift.

PAY & COMPENSATION

• Hourly pay is $10.00 per hour
  
• There is no reimbursement for parking, travel, or food
  

WORK EXPECTATIONS

Crew Members are expected to:

• Arrive on time and ready to work
• Remain at assigned posts unless directed otherwise
• Follow instructions from their Crew Lead
• Stay engaged and limit personal phone use while on duty
• Represent GalaxyCon professionally at all times

APPLICATION INFORMATION

As a paid Crew member, we will try to place you where you’ve got prior experience – be sure to tell us if you’ve worked in a certain area before. However, in this paid role we may need to move Crew members around to different areas of the show based on where it’s busy or slower. We require flexibility in this regard. No one on Crew “owns” a certain position or placement at the show.
