As a Credit Analyst II, you will play a critical role in evaluating and underwriting small business loan applications. You will partner closely with senior underwriters and cross-functional teams to assess risk, analyze financial performance, and make sound credit recommendations that directly impact our portfolio performance and client experience.   • Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and business bank statements to assess creditworthiness of commercial loan applicants.
  • Evaluate liquidity, profitability, leverage, and cash flow trends to determine repayment capacity.
  • Assess guarantor strength and its impact on overall risk and debt service ability.
  • Prepare comprehensive credit memorandums summarizing analysis, risk factors, and underwriting recommendations.
  • Make sound underwriting recommendations aligned with established credit policies and risk parameters.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and senior underwriters to communicate credit decisions clearly and efficiently.
  • Identify risk trends across industries and proactively flag emerging concerns.
  • Manage a high-volume pipeline while maintaining accuracy, quality, and turnaround standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • You have:
  • 3+ years of underwriting or credit analysis experience, preferably within small business or commercial lending.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and the ability to interpret financial statements and business bank statements with confidence.
  • Familiarity with the U.S. small business lending landscape and common industry risk profiles.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to make complex credit decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and comfort learning new systems and CRM platforms quickly.
