Tecovas is looking for a Creative Production Intern to support photo and video production from pre-production through post-production. Reporting directly to the Studio Manager, you will gain immersive experience with the production lifecycle and contribute to real campaigns, learn from a world-class creative team, and even own a small production project from start to finish. 

This position is based out of Austin, TX with regular in office attendance expected. Must be available for the full duration of the internship (12 weeks)

Please note that this internship opportunity is available only to current and active Tecovas employees. If you are not a Tecovas employee, you will not be considered for this position.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with developing pre-production resources like call sheets, shot lists, and schedules.
  • Provide on-set production support, including setup/breakdown, basic lighting/grip help, and capturing behind-the-scenes content.
  • Coordinate post-production tasks such as file handoffs, organizing selects, and tracking versions.
  • Manage assets by ingesting footage/photos, applying naming conventions, and maintaining archive hygiene.
  • Support content capture days for organic social media and coordinate with internal partners to confirm requirements.
  • Own a small production project from start to finish, such as developing a workflow for product education videos or creating a toolkit for fast-turn social content

Experience we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Film/Media Production, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Journalism or other related field
  • A foundational understanding of the end-to-end photo/video production workflow.
  • Familiarity with on-set fundamentals like set etiquette and problem-solving.
  • Basic knowledge of asset handling best practices (e.g., ingest, naming conventions, archiving).

  • You can remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment. 

Requirements

  • Must be located in the Austin, TX area 
  • Must be available to work up to 32 hours per week, Monday - Friday (between the hours of 8AM-5PM CST)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds regularly 
  • Internship program culminates with a presentation to our leadership team summarizing your experience at Tecovas with key takeaways and feedback regarding the program.
