Creative Manager, AUNZ

At Spotify Australia and New Zealand (AUNZ), we’re not just marketing a brand - we’re shaping culture. As a youth-driven culture brand, our ambition is to create content and marketing experiences that earn the attention, love and advocacy of young people in AUNZ - especially GenZ.  We’re seeking a Creative Lead who can realise our global brand and creative ambitions, infusing the work with deep local insight to define how Spotify shows up creatively in AUNZ (across campaigns, content, channels, and experiences) through bold, unexpected, culturally fluent ideas that spark conversation, fandom, advocacy and impact.  This role is based in Sydney and will report to the Head of Marketing, AUNZ.  What You'll Do
  • Bring to life the creative vision and execution for key brand marketing initiatives in AUNZ
  • Collaborate with the AUNZ Marketing team in concepting and development of culturally resonant campaigns that drive brand love and social buzz among Gen Z and Millennial fans and audiences
  • Partner closely with the AUNZ Marketing team and cross-functional teams (including music, comms, brand, design, and global creative) to bring ideas to life
  • Inspire and guide agencies and internal collaborators to produce innovative, memorable, platform-native, insight-driven creative work
  • Ensure that brand expressions - from ATL to digital, partnerships to experiential, commercial offers to content - are consistent, fresh, and worth talking about
  • Relentlessly keep a finger on the pulse of AUNZ culture, trends, and conversations to shape work that feels locally anchored, vibrant, cutting edge, native and timely
  • Work closely with global Brand & Creative teams to maintain the consistency of our global brand across marketing activations
  • Who You Are
  • A culturally attuned creative leader with 5-7+ years of experience in brand, advertising, or creative direction - you have deep experience leading creative work within music, culture, entertainment, or adjacent industries
  • Deep knowledge of the AUNZ market and the values, habits, and temperature of Gen Z
  • A strategic thinker with a strong creative point of view and a portfolio to match
  • Skilled in leading integrated campaigns across multiple touchpoints: video, OOH, social, content, experiential, and partnerships
  • Collaborative by nature - someone people are excited to work with, driven by great ideas and focused on the quality of the work
  • Thrive in past-paced, ever changing environments
  • A strong influencer with excellent storytelling and presentation skills and the ability to win trust and sell big ideas with confidence - responsible for presenting the magic
  • Comfortable operating as a creative leader, influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive clarity, momentum, and creative excellence
  • Experience working with global and local teams, balancing global frameworks with hyper local needs and advocating for AUNZ-specific creative solutions
  • Proven expertise in experiential and offline marketing, translating brand strategy into impactful in-real-life experiences that enhance consumer connection and brand magic

  • This role is based in Sydney, Australia
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home
