Technical Knowledge
CPQ consultants must understand CPQ software well and be proficient with various CPQ tools and
systems. They also need familiarity with system integration tools to ensure seamless data flow
between CRM, ERP, and CPQ platforms.
Analytical Skills
CPQ consultants must be able to assess current sales workflows, pinpoint inefficiencies, and
implement solutions that enhance productivity and accuracy.
Communication Skills
CPQ consultants need to clearly convey technical information to non technical stakeholders, ensuring
everyone understands the CPQ systems capabilities and benefits. Strong communication skills are
also necessary for training sales teams and other users on the new system.
Problem-Solving
CPQ consultants must also be able to quickly identify and resolve issues that arise during and after
the implementation process, ensuring the system operates smoothly and efficiently.
Project Management
CPQ consultants often manage complex implementation projects. This requires strong project
management skills, including planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are
