The Role
Reporting to Prevail’s Executive Board, you’ll provide critical support to the Executive by growing the platform safely, securely, legally and compliantly. The incumbent must lead and manage the platform to ensure good performance, high standards and morale. This role ensures strategic oversight, governance, stakeholder engagement to the most senior levels in Ukraine, and compliance with quality, risk, and requirements across all lines of operation.

- A minimum of 50% of time is to be spent in Ukraine with the objective being 75%
- Quarterly visits to the London office timed to coincide with key personnel availability
- You may occasionally be asked to respond at short notice outside core hours

Key Responsibilities

In-Country leadership
- A key leadership figure within a growing business with the aim of becoming a leading operator in Ukraine
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships across the senior political, military and diplomatic personnel of Ukraine, and Allied Nations and multilateral organisations represented in Ukraine.
- Develop a high-performing in-country team to drive business outcomes, and to become a partner and employer of choice
- Direct, mentor and lead the team to ensure they understand their roles, priorities, resources and constraints
- Within the Prevail matrix organisation, coordinate the functional support, for which this position is responsible, to provide excellence in all key areas, with a meticulous focus on cost and efficiencies
- Provide leadership and vision whilst working in a manner that demonstrates Prevail values at all times
Stakeholder Engagement
- Advise the Prevail Executive of opportunities, threats and risks as they present themselves
- Work with other functional leaders in Prevail Head Office in London efficiently and effectively to maximise value and drive business performance
- Work as a part of the Prevail Senior Leadership Team – providing input on Ukraine business and landscape whilst contributing to overall corporate strategy and business objectives
- Deliver weekly updates and quarterly reports
Commercial & Contractual Management
- Seek and advise commercial opportunities within the region including development of complex mission partnerships to deliver managed services and integrated solutions to challenging conflict driven requirements. This includes but is not limited to the Security Risk Management, conflict reconstruction, energy security and support to Government sectors.
- Lead with the examination of in country business development opportunities and help bring them forward to grow the portfolio
- Oversee the build of commercial bids, supported by Prevail Head Office in London, to ensure proposals are both competitive and profitable
- Oversee contract change-control discussions and procedures with clients
- Ownership and Update of SALESFORCE
Technical & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with relevant and required technical requirements across the variety of contracts.
- Lead Learning From Experience (LFE) processes to embed lessons learned
Risk & Safety Management
- The Safety and Security of Prevail’s people and clients is paramount. Supported by Prevail’s Senior Risk Advisor, maintain suitable SRM procedures for all and ensure compliance
- Maintenance of the platform Risk register
- Ensure that all activities comply with company policies, procedures and standards
About You

Qualifications & Experience – Essential
- Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience to an undergraduate degree
- Proven track record in leading teams in hostile environments
- Demonstrable history of delivering projects through full lifecycle for a variety of clients
- Strong commercial and contractual management experience
- Leadership of multi-disciplinary and expert teams and subcontractor networks
- Risk management and governance at programme level
- Stakeholder engagement at senior/executive level
- Strategic thinking with ability to execute tactically
- Excellent English language skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in challenging or austere environments
- Proven capability using Microsoft Office suite
Qualifications & Experience – Desirable
- Delivery of projects in international or expeditionary environments
- Familiarity with MOD standards, security-cleared projects, government, or NGO programmes
- Proficiency with salesforce and Asana
