The Costume Character Performer is a seasonal role responsible for delivering an engaging, warm, and memorable guest experience through non-speaking character interaction. This position will embody the Easter Bunny with professionalism and enthusiasm, interact with guests of all ages, and work closely with staff to create meaningful holiday moments. Costume Character Performers will maintain character integrity at all times while providing exceptional hospitality and creating experiences guests will look forward to year after year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Able to emote and communicate warmly with guests in a non-speaking role.
Comfort and experience wearing a full face-covering mascot uniform for long hours.
Work closely with staff to maximize the guest’s experience and other interactions that make the guest’s visit memorable and one they would like to repeat year after year.
Follow all instructions from The Americana at Brand management personnel.
Maintain a professional, respectful relationship with all Americana employees
Follow daily performance schedule as provided at beginning of the Season.
Maintain the Easter Bunny character at all times whenever in the Common Areas of The Americana, including but not limited to the Bunny House, exterior and interior Common Areas, Tenant spaces, or any other location where guests may be present.
Go from sitting to standing position throughout the day.
Sit for extended periods of time.
Maintain professional decorum in keeping with the timeless nature of the Easter Bunny character.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous character experience in a high-volume setting
Prior experience working with children
Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
Exceptional communication skills
Physical demands and work environment:
Able to multi-task and maintain a good temperament during high-pressure situations.
Sitting up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to climb stairs.
Must be flexible and willing to work different shifts as needed, including weekends and nights.
Height requirement: 5’2-5’4
