The Corrective Action Coordinator is responsible forleading, managing, and continually improving the AS9100-compliant Corrective Action (CA) system within the organization. This role ensures timely, effective, and sustainable closure of corrective actions by partnering cross-functionally, applying advanced root-cause analysis methods, and driving accountability throughout the value chain. The individual serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for all corrective action methodologies and tools. How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation
  • Own, manage, and maintain the end-to-end Corrective Action process in alignment with AS9100 requirements.
  • Drive corrective actions from initiation through verification and closure, ensuring containment, root-cause identification, and sustainable solutions.
  • Monitor CA performance metrics and lead actions to improve effectiveness, cycle time, and recurrence prevention.
  • Serve as the SME for structured problem-solving methodologies including 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis, and other quality tools.
  • Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving events and guide teams in selecting and applying appropriate analytical methods.
  • Review and validate root-cause statements and corrective action plans for robustness, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ensure all Corrective Action records meet AS9100 documentation requirements, including objective evidence, verification of effectiveness, and closure criteria.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing well-organized, audit-ready CA documentation.
  • Champion process standardization and continuous improvement aligned with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, Quality, and Program Management to drive timely and effective corrective actions.
  • Influence teams without direct authority, ensuring stakeholders stay engaged and accountable to corrective action commitments.
  • Communicate status, risks, and roadblocks to leadership and escalate when required.
  • Analyze CA trends, recurring issues, and systemic risks to drive process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Produce KPIs and management reports for visibility into CA effectiveness and improvements.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (or equivalent
  • experience).
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 principles and corrective action requirements, preferred
  • Proven expertise in structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FTA).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and analytical capability.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams indirectly and drive accountability.
  • Solid project management skills with ability to manage multiple corrective actions simultaneously.
  • Above and Beyond Qualifications:
  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt).
