Corporate Security Manager Mesoamerica

To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking a Corporate Security Manager in Mexico. This role will support the delivery of Security Programs for Mesoamerica to ensure maximum support for Crop Protection (CP), Seeds (SE), and ADAMA businesses through program solution deployment, establishing clear risk ownership by Mesoamerica Countries’ Leadership Teams.

Accountabilities 

  • Lead management of the Anti-Illicit Trade program for Mesoamerica with the following focus:
    • Ensure that internal and external communication, awareness, and collaboration meet the appropriate performance levels.
    • Support the business in improving E2E Anti-Illicit Trade.
    • Maximize intelligence to create a greater impact (big fish) by physically seizing illicit products.
    • Ensure cooperation and coordination between the local business, legal entities, and authorities (such as customs and police) on all matters related to Anti-Illicit Trade to achieve successful cases in Mesoamerica.

  • Manage People and Site security programs with the subsequent focus:
    • Anticipate threat and support intel dissemination, manage risks and address security improvement plans, respond to critical incidents, and lead complex investigations.
    • Promote sustainable security awareness to protect Syngenta Group employees.
    • Empower the business to take ownership and lead its site security improvement plans.
  • Manage the Security Crisis Management program with the subsequent focus:
    •  Work closely with the Corporate Security Global Security Crisis Centre to manage emerging issues effectively.
    •  Conduct crisis tabletop exercises using the Corporate Security tool for the relevant country crisis teams.
    • Assist with crisis response during evolving situations.
    • Assist business teams with post-crisis recovery efforts.
  • Deliver security programs that meet risk targets, ensuring stakeholders take ownership of their security risks with a strong focus on Mexico.
  • Determined leadership in execution is shown daily so that:
    • Trust from the team and customers is built by fulfilling Anti-Illicit Trade program commitments.
    • Accountability in finding ways to provide security services exists.
    • Discipline, focus, and simplicity are demonstrated in all security programs.
  • Focus on transparently delivering successful high-impact cases with the highest standards of ethics and compliance.

 

Required

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • At least five years' experience working in Corporate Security in a leadership position.
  • Experience in engagement with multiple management levels across technical users and business units.
  • As a plus, 5 years of experience working for authorities in the field of Anti-Illicit Trade.
  • People/stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellence in planning and execution.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Results-oriented.
  • Ability to develop and evolve long-term strategies while driving tactical projects.
