Corporate Legal Internship

Location: Bangalore.

 

Key Responsibilities
Contract Management & Documentation
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining basic commercial contracts, NDAs, service agreements, and standard templates

  • Support the execution of contracts, including coordination for signing, stamping, and record management
  • Track contract validity, renewals, and amendments

Regulatory & Compliance Support

  • Assist in understanding and implementing basic RBI compliance requirements applicable to fintech / NBFC-linked operations
  • Support preparation and maintenance of compliance checklists, registers, and internal trackers
  • Assist in responding to routine legal and compliance queries from internal teams

Litigation & Court Filings

  • Assist in court and tribunal filings, including preparation of basic applications, affidavits, and annexures
  • Coordinate with external advocates for filings, case status updates, and document sharing
  • Maintain litigation trackers and case records

Stamp Duty & Documentation
Support determination of applicable stamp duty on agreements across states

  • Assist in coordination for e-stamping / physical stamping of documents
  • Maintain stamp duty payment records and supporting documentation

General Legal Support

  • Conduct basic legal research on statutes, notifications, and judicial updates
  • Assist in maintaining the legal document repository and internal knowledge base
  • Provide administrative support to the Legal & Compliance team as required



Desired Skill Set & Knowledge
Mandatory
Basic understanding of Indian Contract Act, 1872
Foundational knowledge of RBI regulations and compliance framework
Awareness of court procedures and filing processes
Basic understanding of contract execution lifecycle

  • Introductory knowledge of stamp duty laws and practices

Good to Have

  • Internship experience with a law firm, fintech, NBFC, or corporate legal team
  • Familiarity with e-courts, filing portals, or regulatory websites
  • Good drafting and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and legal documentation tools
