Corporate Catering Program Manager (Temp-to-Perm)

AI overview

Drive a high-touch catering program by curating menus that balance dietary needs and client preferences, while collaborating with internal teams and restaurant partners.

About Us:

Sharebite is the leading meal benefits platform built exclusively for companies to feed their employees. Our platform allows employees to order meals from any restaurant while streamlining all of the ordering & billing requirements for the company. Every meal ordered through the Sharebite platform results in a meal donation to local partners like City Harvest and Feeding America to help combat food insecurity. To date, Sharebite has donated over 15 million meals.

The Role:

We’re scaling our white-glove catering program – a high-touch, food-forward service – and this is a great opportunity for someone who is genuinely amped about food, menus, and making complex orders work. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, food-savvy operator to join us in a temporary (~6-month) role, with the potential to convert to full-time. This person will sit at the center of the program: partnering directly with clients to understand their needs, translating those requirements into thoughtful, well-balanced group and catering-style menus, working closely with restaurant partners, and coordinating execution end-to-end.

You’ll be responsible for curating menus that actually make sense — balancing headcount, dietary and allergen needs, preferences, and budget constraints — while navigating real-world kitchen limitations. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams (Restaurant Operations, Client Account Management, Support, and Product) to ensure every order is set up correctly and executed smoothly.

This role is ideal for someone who knows food, can confidently speak with clients and restaurants, and enjoys the puzzle of building great menus under constraints. It’s a cross-functional, fast-paced role where operational precision meets hospitality — and where good judgment and taste genuinely matter. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast paced, operations heavy environment. This role is not a good fit for those who have spent their career at large, slower-paced companies where the deadlines are long and the expectations aren’t very high.

What You’ll Do:

Client & Internal Communication

  • Partner closely with the Client Account Management Team to gather key details from clients, including headcount, delivery preferences, dietary needs, budget, and other program details, and then become the go-to point of contact for day-to-day ordering needs.
  • Liaise directly with clients as needed to clarify requirements, address questions, and ensure a seamless ordering experience.
  • Partner with Restaurant Account Managers to confirm menu accuracy, availability, and fulfillment logistics and reach out to restaurant partners directly when needed.
  • Liaise directly with restaurant partners as needed for urgent updates or time-sensitive coordination.

 Menu Management

  • Curate menus based on client needs using internal tools and historical ordering data.
  • Apply strong food judgment when selecting items—understanding what travels well, what scales for groups, and what typically performs best across cuisines.
  • Audit menus for completeness, including but not limited to item descriptions, portion sizes, dietary tags, and allergen information.
  • Build and deliver final menu cards for client review and meal presentation.

Execution & Support

  • Coordinate order logistics from approval through delivery, ensuring timely drop-offs and smooth execution.
  • Liaise with the Restaurant Operations, Logistics, and Client Operations Associates on-site to troubleshoot live order issues or partner concerns.
  • Help support and improve the internal product tool used for Managed Ordering workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in catering operations, menu planning, restaurant account management, hospitality operations, or a client-facing food tech role
  • Strong food and menu fluency: ability to evaluate menus, understand what tastes good, what travels and scales well, and how to build balanced, crowd-pleasing orders
  • Proven experience working directly with restaurants to clarify menu details, portioning, substitutions, packaging, and dietary preparation
  • Deep familiarity with dietary needs and allergen considerations, including knowing what to double-check vs. what can be assumed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently manage expectations with clients, restaurants, and internal teams
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple clients and timelines

Preferred

  • Comfort using tools like Salesforce and Slack
  • Experience in nutrition, dietary planning, or allergen management is a plus
  • A passion for food and a love of creating experiences that feel personal, effortless, and well-executed
