Accountabilities: 

 

  • Aligns product advancements and product life cycle to supply plans, promotional and product pricing strategy
  • Builds and executes pricing plans to achieve market share and net sales targets
  • Serves as main point of contact, relationship and agreement owner with external foundation seed houses
  • Drives Syngenta Corn Trait strategy and compliance within licensees' portfolios and germplasm
  • Leverages North America Corn pipeline to optimize grower satisfaction, maximize Syngenta's opportunity within licensees’ portfolios and EBITDA contributions
  • Documents, monitors, and measures the success of New Product Introductions and impact within the licensing route-to-market to influence future decisions
  • Provides product forecasting, portfolio leadership and feedback to Seeds Product Development, Production & Supply, Finance, Marketing, and GreenLeaf Genetics Technical Product & Account Management Teams to achieve business objectives for the product line
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Agronomy, Economics, Agriculture, Marketing, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience working in the seed industry
  • Collaboration, influence, and trust-building with diverse sets of stakeholders
  • Curious, courageous and accountable to drive internal and external solutions
  • Deep understanding of Syngenta routes-to-market and long-term plans
  • Understanding of farmer needs and farmer agronomic practices for assigned region
  • Public speaking with large and diverse audiences
  • Digital fluency (proficient in Microsoft and Syngenta digital platforms)
  • Financial acumen (understanding P&L)
  • Exposure to marketing processes and understanding of basic marketing principles
  • Willingness to travel extensively at certain periods of the year and spend time in pre-commercial and commercial trials and commercial fields evaluating hybrids and inbreds alone and with peers and external stakeholders
