About Gnosis Chain
Gnosis is a community-run chain that is closely aligned with Ethereum’s values and community. We seek to build a chain that is credibly neutral and resilient, with nodes run by thousands of ordinary people across the globe. Gnosis continues to contribute to Ethereum’s growth as an experimental chain, where newcomers, quirky ideas, and indie projects are welcome. 

Gnosis is currently hiring for Core Devs who will contribute to both Ethereum and Gnosis. As a member of Ethereum’s Beaconverse, Gnosis runs the same execution and consensus clients at Ethereum, and contributes to the tooling, bug fixes, and funding of core development. We work directly with client teams like Nethermind and Erigon, and fund critical tooling for Ethereum clients. 

• Work with Execution Layer clients teams (e.g. Nethermind, Geth, Erigon, Reth, etc.)

• Work with Consensus Layer client teams (e.g. Lighthouse, Nimbus, Teku, Lodestar, Prysm, etc.)

• Implement EIPs that are in Gnosis’ roadmap

• Work with R&D teams to accelerate the experimentation of EIPs (e.g. state expiry, core rollups)

• Triage bug reports, implement fixes and submit upstream fixes to client teams

• Maintain Gnosis client images and coordinating releases

• Maintain test environments, monitoring and tooling

• Maintain critical infrastructure for the network (e.g. ethstats, forkmon, checkpointz)

• Maintain the Geth fork for Gnosis Chain

• Maintain the Reth plugin for Gnosis Chain

• Maintain testing suites for Gnosis Chain (e.g. Hive, ethereum/tests, EELS)

• Experiment with rollup technologies

Who you are

• General knowledge of the Ethereum protocol

• General knowledge of EVM bridges

• Experience in Go (+ some Rust is a plus)

• Curious and passionate

• Takes initiative to solve problems and make an impact

• Strong communicator who enjoys working with others

• [Plus] Experience with Execution Layer clients: Nethermind, Geth, Erigon, Besu, Reth
