Copywriter (World of Tanks: HEAT)(m/f/i)

Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for a Copywriter with experience in the gaming industry to create and edit a wide range of content for a forthcoming IP. If you have practical experience in copywriting, write at a native speaker level, and can express yourself effectively across a wide range of content types, this opening is for you!

What will you do?

• Write copy for all aspects and platforms of a forthcoming game, including:
  
  • Articles, announcements, and features
  • Store descriptions (e.g. Steam pages)
  • Press, promotional, and marketing materials
  • Patch notes and game update summaries
  • Video scripts and subtitles
  • Internal and external game documentation (design documents, player guides, etc.)
  • Posts for social media and Discord
  • Response templates for customer service agents

• Check and edit copy prepared by others
• Cooperate with development and publishing departments

What are we looking for?

• Native English speaker who is able to write clearly and confidently in US English
• Exceedingly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and requests seamlessly
• College diploma (preferably in English, linguistics, journalism, or marketing)
• Flawless grammar and spelling and a mastery of setting an appropriate tone for a given genre or platform
• Experience in editing and writing various styles and types of content (fictional, technical, advertising, informational, motivational, UI/UX, etc.)
• Familiarity with requirements and best practices for popular social media platforms
• Knowledge of the gaming industry and its specialized terminology
• Experience working on a team to solve tasks together

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience of working in the gaming industry, news portals, media outlets, newspapers, or ad agencies – especially if you have a portfolio of writing for launched games or other media
• Experience with Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation as games publishing platforms
• Experience with HTML, code tags, and game localization best practices
• Experience with creating and editing video subtitles
• Knowledge of one or more of the following languages in addition to English: Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese

Work mode

• Full-time employment
• This role isn't eligible for relocation & immigration support

Type of Contract and Salary

• Employment Contract (umowa o prace)
• The salary range for this role is 9500 - 14000 PLN gross monthly (The final salary within the range will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and performance during the interview. Please note that this salary range applies to Poland; for other locations, it might be different.)
