Summary/Objective: 
Support, repair, and update electrical controls and vision inspection systems in a production environment.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Support production by troubleshooting and repairing automated controls.
  • Startup, debug, qualify, and support controls install/upgrade on new and existing automated equipment.
  • Make program and hardware modifications/updates on automated control systems.
  • Field wire panels and equipment and make updates to electrical schematics as needed
  • Program motion controllers, PLCs, operator interfaces, robotics, and servo drives.
  • Support and maintain image processing hardware and programs using Windows-based PC systems.
  • Troubleshoot, provide root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for reported issues on local production systems and tools.

Required Experience: 
 
  • 1.    Operational knowledge of control relays, pneumatic solenoids, pneumatic controls, motion controllers, servomotors, stepper motors, etc.
    2.    1-5 years of programming experience in the following:
    a.    PLC programming experience (Automation Direct preferred).
    b.    Operator Interface programming experience (Red Lion preferred).
    c.    Motion controllers (Trio Motion Controller preferred)
    d.    PID loop controls.
    3.    Ability to read and write in structured text programming language (i.e. C++, C#, Basic, etc.)
    4.    Experience in building/servicing control panels.
    5.    Image processing systems and implementations
    6.    Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
    7.    AutoCAD or equivalent experience.
    8.    Must be able to sit/stand for at least 90 consecutive minutes, and not suffer from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
    9.    CPR/First Aid/AED training
Education:  
  • Two-year degree in Electrical Manufacturing, Robotic Technology, or related degree.

  • On the job training as appropriate.
