STARC Systems / Controller / Brunswick, Maine    STARC Systems, a nationally recognized leader in industrial temporary modular wall systems, has an exciting opportunity for a Controller to join their team in Brunswick, Maine!    The Controller, reporting to the Director of Finance, will be responsible for the support and direction of the Finance team as well as the oversight of the finance functions within the department.   • Requirements of the Controller:
  •  Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10 years’ experience in accounting or finance 
  •  CPA or MBA a plus 
  • Strong accounting background including experience with inventory, cost accounting, forecasting, budgets, reconciliations and payroll  
  • Experience implementing systems and internal controls that can grow with the business 
  • ERP & systems savvy with hands-on experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Acumatica, NetSuite, etc.) 
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a finance/accounting team through periods of growth and change 
  • Strong analytical skills, communication and professional business acumen 
  •  Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables  
  • Responsibilities of the Controller:
  • Oversee all sub-ledger functions such as Sales Order, Inventory, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, General Ledger 
  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to direct reports, supporting professional development and alignment with organizational goals 
  • Approve weekly payroll 
  • Work with third party accounting firms for income tax reporting 
  • Approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations 
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements in a timely manner, consistent with metrics 
  • Oversee company fixed asset ledger for all physical locations 
  • Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration among all teams 
  • Manage annual physical and asset inventory audits 
  • Plan, organize and coordinate year-end financial audit requests 
  • Oversight of weekly KPI reports for Senior Management
