Position Summary

The Controller / HR Manager is responsible for managing the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, payroll, and human resources administration. This role plays a key part in supporting leadership, ensuring compliance, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Accounting & Finance

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, and general ledger

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

Manage payroll processing and payroll reporting

Maintain budgets, cash flow tracking, and financial forecasting

Coordinate with external accountants and tax professionals

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Human Resources

Administer employee onboarding and offboarding processes

Maintain personnel files and HR documentation

Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions

Support recruiting, hiring, and employee relations

Assist leadership with performance management and policy implementation

Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR best practice

Requirements

Previous experience in accounting, controller, or finance role required

HR management experience strongly preferred

Knowledge of payroll, benefits administration, and employment compliance

Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office

Automotive or multi-location business experience is a plus

High level of confidentiality and professionalism
