Assist field supervisors in monitoring and understanding job budgets
In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the full range of financial operations for a $30 million electrical contracting company. You’ll lead all accounting activities, maintain internal controls, and ensure accurate job costing and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, job cost accounting, and payroll
Prepare financial reports and manage work-in-progress (WIP) and percentage-of-completion reporting
Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements
Serve as the primary contact for external CPAs, banks, and bonding agents
Support project managers and leadership with financial insights to guide decision-making
Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and profit improvement
Lead and develop the internal accounting team

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Active CPA license preferred
6–10 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management, with prior controllership and/or supervisory experience
Familiarity with construction accounting, including job costing and WIP reporting
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance standards
Experience working with leadership teams and external financial partners
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff
