The Control Center Operator is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and controlling the operation of the electrical grid and associated systems to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with operational procedures. This role involves real‑time supervision of energy flows, execution of operational instructions, and communication with market agents and system operators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor electrical grid performance and system stability in real time.
- Execute switching operations and apply operational procedures
- Coordinate with the System Operator (SO) and Market Operator (OMIE) to validate and implement scheduled programs.
- Detect, report, and resolve incidents or deviations in our asset generation and demand clients.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate operational records and prepare incident reports.
- Support integration of renewable energy sources and new technologies into the grid.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external agents, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field.
- Knowledge of power system operation, market procedures, and grid codes.
- Experience with SCADA systems and real‑time monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions in critical situations.
- Team‑oriented with excellent communication skills.
Work Environment
- Control center environment with 24/7 operations with rotation shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
