Position Summary
The Contracts & Compliance Manager is responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and managing client and vendor agreements for a midsized consulting firm. This role ensures contractual risk is identified, mitigated, and aligned with company contracts and policies, while supporting business teams in closing deals efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Review & Negotiation
- Review, modify, and negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and other client and vendor contracts
- Identify legal, financial, and operational risks and propose practical mitigation strategies
- Ensure contract terms align with company standards, policies, risk tolerance, and industry best practices
- Partner with sales, delivery, finance, and leadership teams to support deal execution
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance standards
- Maintain standardized contract templates and fallback positions
- Track and manage contract obligations, renewals, amendments, and expirations
- Support audits and internal reviews related to contractual compliance
Process & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related questions from internal stakeholders
- Improve and document contract review processes to increase efficiency and consistency
- Coordinate with internal counsel as needed for complex or high-risk matters
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract fundamentals and risk awareness
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field
- 3–6 years of experience reviewing and negotiating NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and commercial contracts
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and risk management
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex legal language
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance risk mitigation with business practicality in a consulting environment
Preferred
- Juris Doctor (JD) or paralegal certification (not required)
- Experience in a professional services or consulting firm
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools
- Experience working cross-functionally with sales and delivery teams

Compensation:
Peloton provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, business needs, and geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000 to $160,000 (Base Compensation). Peloton also offers bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package including:
