The Role
ClearPoint is seeking a contract Senior Software Engineer to support one of our clients on a large-scale initiative. We are looking for engineers with deep expertise in C# and modern .NET, along with proven commercial experience delivering and deploying GraphQL APIs. If you enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams and building high-quality cloud-native applications, we want to hear from you.
This is a contracting role for 6 months initially. They are based on-site with our client for 3 days per week in Central Auckland. Immediate availability is essential.
The experience we’re looking for:
● At least 10 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with strong expertise in C# and modern .NET
● Proven commercial experience with GraphQL using tools such as Hot Chocolate or Apollo Federation is a must
● Strong background designing and building distributed microservices-based systems
● Experience developing cloud-native applications on Azure including Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps and Azure DevOps
● Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles in cloud environments
● Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
● Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL or Cosmos DB
● Ability to interface effectively with Project Managers, Product Owners and business stakeholders
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with consulting or client-facing experience advantageous
