Content Producer Lead

TLDR

Own and architect the entire content system at Unifize, producing a range of content types while collaborating closely with co-founders to enhance the brand presence.

About Unifize

Unifize is an enterprise-grade, AI-first operating system built for regulated operations, quality, and product development.

We unify the core functions that power regulated manufacturing — Quality (QMS), R&D, Manufacturing, and Maintenance (CMMS) — into one collaborative AI platform.

Our mission is to help manufacturers accelerate product development, improve compliance, and drive operational excellence through intelligent, cross-functional collaboration.

About the Role

We are looking for a Content Producer / Editor to build and run the entire Unifize content system — from thesis to distribution, from long-form article to podcast episode to LinkedIn video to sales enablement package.

This is not a content marketing role in the traditional sense. It is a content architecture role. You will own both the intellectual quality of what gets published and the production infrastructure that makes high-volume output possible without a large team.

You will be the first dedicated content hire at Unifize. There is no marketing department above this role. You report directly to the CEO, work daily with both co-founders, and operate as a founder-adjacent owner of everything content touches.

The CEO writes 3,000-word structural arguments about how an entire industry works. The co-founders are launching a podcast. The sales team needs content they can actually use. The Coordination Tax Engine is approaching launch and needs content assets to drive traffic and engagement.

Your job is to take all of that raw intellectual material and turn it into something the market cannot ignore.

Core Objective

Own the content system end to end: edit the CEO's long-form articles, produce the podcast, create LinkedIn video content, publish SEO content, and build the engine that turns one substantial piece into a weekly distribution package for the sales team. Build the process from scratch. Operate it independently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Editorial Production

  • Edit and produce the CEO's long-form thought leadership articles (Directions Articles series). Sharpen clarity, flow, and impact while preserving the founder's voice and intellectual substance.
  • Write and publish SEO symptom-track content targeting buyer search queries in regulated manufacturing, connecting symptoms to coordination tax as root cause.

2. Podcast Production

  • Own the podcast end to end: research and book guests, prepare episode briefs, coordinate recording (Riverside), manage the freelance audio editor, write show notes, and cut clips for LinkedIn distribution.

3. LinkedIn Video Content

  • Help the CEO record short-form videos, coordinate editing, write post copy, and schedule and publish from the CEO's personal account.

4. Content-to-Sales Engine

  • Build and run the system that decomposes each substantial content piece into a distribution package for the sales team: email inserts, LinkedIn post variants, talking points, and cheat sheets.

5. Publishing and Distribution

  • Manage the publishing calendar and distribution cadence across all formats. Track what resonates and feed that back into content planning.

6. Contractor Management

  • Brief, review, and hold accountable the freelance audio/video editor and designer. Maintain quality and deadlines across the production pipeline.

7. Visual Assets

  • Produce visual assets for content distribution: LinkedIn carousels, social graphics, and blog formatting. Maintain a professional, distinctive visual standard.

What Success Looks Like

  • The CEO has less content production work on their plate, not more.
  • The podcast launches within the first month and reaches a regular fortnightly cadence by month four.
  • The Intelligence Gap article series is complete and published.
  • SEO content is publishing at cadence (target: two per week by month three).
  • The sales team receives a regular content package and actively uses it in outbound.
  • Content-attributed pipeline is measurable within 12 months.
  • At least one external person references Unifize content unprompted.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 5–8 years in content marketing or a related field (journalism, consulting, product marketing), with at least 2–3 years in B2B SaaS or technical/industrial B2B
  • Impeccable English — fluent, natural, and idiomatic. The content goes to American VPs at medical device companies. Indian corporate English register is disqualifying.
  • Strong editorial judgment: can improve a 3,000-word founder draft without losing the voice or the intellectual substance
  • Genuine comfort with AI writing tools as production infrastructure — can articulate where AI helps and where it hurts
  • Self-directed: will build the production process, not wait for someone to define it
  • Opinionated: will push back on the CEO when something is not working
  • Podcast production capability or strong, demonstrable willingness to learn tools quickly (Riverside, Descript)
  • SEO fundamentals: keyword research, search intent, on-page optimisation
  • LinkedIn content expertise for B2B founder-led accounts
  • Decent aesthetic sense: can produce visuals (carousels, blog layouts, social assets) that look professional and intentional

Strong advantages:

  • Experience in regulated industries (manufacturing, life sciences, healthcare, fintech)
  • Lived outside India for a meaningful period (education or work)
  • Journalism background
  • Experience building a content function from scratch at an early-stage company

Hard nos:

  • Cannot handle complex technical subject matter; defaults to generic "5 tips" style content
  • Requires detailed briefs and SOPs for every piece; cannot operate without being told what to do
  • Polished executor with no opinions; will not push back on the CEO
  • Treats AI as either a threat to avoid or a replacement for thinking
  • "Indian corporate English" register — formal, stilted, reads as non-native to a US audience

  • Work with genuinely ambitious, differentiated intellectual content that goes well beyond typical SaaS marketing.
