The Challenge:

As a Content Marketer at Esusu, you will help transform complex financial products and impact stories into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with renters, real estate partners, banks, and fintechs around the world. Our team is rapidly scaling support for multiple product lines—Rent Reporting, Identity Services, and Esusu Pay—while elevating our brand and thought leadership in a crowded fintech landscape. This role matters now because we need a dedicated content marketer who can independently produce a steady drumbeat of high-quality assets, ensure our voice is consistent across channels, and help us educate the market on why inclusive credit access is urgent and non‑negotiable.

What will you help deliver:

  • You will own the creation of a steady pipeline of high-quality, on-brand content across formats—blog posts, web pages, landing pages, one-pagers, email and lifecycle copy, sales enablement materials, decks, and social content.
  • You will draft and refine campaign-ready copy for product launches, GTM initiatives, and ongoing nurture programs that support both B2B client acquisition and renter engagement.
  • Clear, structured storytelling for case studies, customer stories, and data-driven narratives that highlight Esusu’s impact and outcomes.
  • Content revisions and optimization of existing assets to improve clarity, conversion, and consistency with updated positioning and brand guidelines.
  • Basic content SEO best practices (e.g., thoughtful headings, keyword-aware phrasing, meta descriptions) to support organic discovery and performance.
  • Close collaboration with Marketing, Product Marketing, Lifecycle, Design, Sales, and Account Management to gather inputs, refine messaging, and route content for timely review and approval.
  • You will manage organized content workflows—using our project management and documentation tools—so stakeholders know what’s in progress, what’s blocked, and what’s shipped.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or a related marketing/communications role, ideally within B2B SaaS, fintech, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, engaging content across multiple formats (long-form, short-form, web, email, and sales collateral); strong portfolio or writing samples required.
  • Experience writing for multiple audiences (e.g., business decision-makers, operators/property managers, and consumers/renters) and tailoring tone accordingly.
  • Excellent command of English, with strong editing and proofreading skills and a high bar for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Comfortable working in modern marketing and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, project management tools, CMS such as Webflow/WordPress, and email or lifecycle platforms).
  • Highly organized, reliable, and comfortable operating as a contractor in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with core collaboration hours overlapping Eastern Time.
  • Alignment with Esusu’s mission and an interest in financial inclusion, credit building, and/or housing as a lever for economic mobility.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in performance-oriented content (landing pages, email journeys, paid media copy) with an understanding of how content impacts conversion and engagement.
  • Familiarity with SEO fundamentals (keyword intent, on-page best practices) and using analytics or dashboards to inform content improvements.
  • Background collaborating with design teams in tools like Figma to pair visual storytelling with copy.
  • Prior experience working with global, distributed teams and/or as a freelancer/agency contractor.

Above and Beyond:

  • You’ve contributed to content strategy or managed an editorial calendar—helping define themes, cadences, and formats that ladder up to business and campaign goals.
  • You’re comfortable interviewing internal experts, customers, or partners and turning those conversations into tight narratives, quotes, and stories.
  • You bring a strong point of view on inclusive, human-centered storytelling and can sensitively communicate around topics like credit, housing stability, and financial hardship.
  • You can connect content to measurable outcomes—click-throughs, sign-ups, demo requests, or engagement—and proactively suggest experiments or optimizations.
  • You document what you build (briefs, templates, style notes) so content becomes more repeatable and scalable for Esusu over time.
