Position Overview:

The Content Development Assistant will support the creative development of short-drama series by assisting with research, reference collection, and content breakdowns. This position is ideal for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in short-drama production workflows, understand serialized storytelling, and learn how high-performing stories are developed from concept to post-launch. The assistant will work closely with specialists to help streamline research and preparation, but will not be responsible for the final creative performance of the content.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist specialists in researching potential content IPs, including books, UGC, market competitors, and trends, to identify possible adaptation paths.
  • Help break down selected IPs, creating notes that specialists can use to guide outlines or scripts.
  • Collect visual and advertising references to support story and production decisions.
  • Support in maintaining content research libraries and development documentation.
  • Shadow specialists throughout the content development process—from brainstorming and script breakdowns to fine cuts—to learn workflows and processes.
  • Help organize materials for team meetings, pitch sessions, and creative discussions.
  • Assist in tracking project materials and timelines, ensuring information is accessible and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in short-drama, vertical storytelling, and emotion-driven content.
  • Strong research, organization, and analysis skills.
  • Comfortable gathering and synthesizing content references for creative teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with specialists.
  • Eagerness to learn workflows in content development, from ideation to post-production.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Previous exposure to scripted content or media research is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
