Content Creator/Marketing Strategist

Seekers Health is looking for a creative and organized writer and content creator to help run and manage our social media and digital content strategies and campaigns.  We are an innovative startup developing projects that are very different in nature but linked by their target audience of Seekers.  Our projects include a novel therapy system, an eco-wellness destination in Costa Rica and a wellness water brand.   

We are hiring an in-house content creator to take over the work that has been outsourced to specialized providers.  Each project has brand guidelines that are linked by shared messaging and tone that seeks to be passionate and empowering, yet does so with integrity, ensuring that it is responsible and science-based.  Your content will be used to generate traffic, build mailing lists and create sales, and will do so by delivering quality content with real value to our audience of Seekers. 

Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability in social media content creation
• Have knowledge of Wordpress, Instagram, Mailchimp, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant applications
• Good understanding of best practices of branded content marketing, digital advertising, social media, search engine optimization, search engine marketing, video and photography, copywriting and marketing in general
• In depth knowledge of Google analytics and other tools to analyze data to improve performance of content
• Proven success in creating professional branded content capable of engaging an audience and fostering positive interaction
• Be creative, able to manage several channels and manage campaigns from planning, creation, implementation and follow-up
• Produce regular content that is fact-checked, error-free and aligned to our broader content strategies
• Work directly with project leads to create content calendars and report on campaign progress
• Able to plan and execute campaigns consistently and effectively
• Self-directed and organized
• Experience in video creation
• Experience writing about health, wellness, medicine or science
• Ability to work flexible hours
• High standards for accuracy, responsiveness, integrity and discretion
• Sound judgment, creativity, initiative, tact and diplomacy

This is a full-time, permanent position.  Work can be mostly remote, but occasional visits to the office are required. Ideal candidate will live in Ottawa or Montreal area.
