Overview of the role

The Consulting Analyst role reports, on a line-management basis, to a Consulting Manager with day-to-day reporting for specific projects to Consulting Managers in the Consulting division. The primary function of the CA role is to successfully execute the strategic objectives of Euromonitor Custom research clients.

Key responsibilities

Primary and Secondary Research: works closely with research Consultants on project planning, briefing, research, modelling and finalization checks.

• Primary Interviewing: Conduct interviews with trade associations, leading companies and internal Euromonitor associates to gain insights into specific custom research objectives.

• Research: Utilize in house resources and external published information to more clearly understand the market and companies under review.

➢ Share new resources with colleagues and seek out new sources of information.

• Data Analysis : validates market data, including integrity of company and brand information and scrutinizing data proactively and as a result of client queries

➢ Prepares market summaries for industry sources at pre-interview phase to encourage participation

➢ Prepares and writes company/industry reports and/or management summaries

Research Management: assists on custom research work for projects, including:

• Client Communication:

➢ Working directly with clients on a regular basis in conjunction with research consultants, including delivery of findings in face to face/conference call/ presentations.

➢ Understanding, maintaining and developing the relationship between Euromonitor and any custom research client.

• Project Execution:

➢ Maintaining and developing our internal expertise, know-how and resources for the vertical(s) assigned to you and as agreed with your Manager

➢ Continued upkeep of all folders and materials associated with current projects to ensure that all information is easily accessible to other relevant Euromonitor personnel.

➢ Cooperate with Euromonitor’s internal teams to ensure all know-how and expertise is accessible as well as to share back with the team insights, know-how, sources, etc gained through consulting project work

➢ Assist on review of all generated materials via querying, validation and final interpretation of data and analysis to fully meet client objectives.

➢ In conjunction with the Associate consultants/consultants proactively encourage clients to share information and work to a common goal.

➢ Delivering timely, thorough analysis that meets client objectives.

Minimum requirements

• Experience evaluating, manipulating and analyzing numerical data

• Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

• One full year of work or internship experience

• Advanced knowledge of English

Research Expertise

• Formats workbooks to be user-friendly and straightforward. Makes good use of all tools to Is able to return to models built and make adjustments based on peer recommendations. Reviews interview notes with others to improve questions and probing during interviews. Edits outputs for basic grammar, style and prose. Displays comfort with the content, structure and contacts within Passport.

• Active in pursuing new source material through desk research and in developing a contact base. Has a working knowledge of CG Research and engages in activities to learn more about CGBD, Syndicated and Sales.
