About the Role  

As a Consultant, you will be an experienced and highly capable account and project manager, adept at independently handling a wide range of assignments, projects, and clients with a high degree of success. You will cultivate strong client relationships and be recognized as a key leader within the agency.

This role requires you to demonstrate high-level professional knowledge and skills, enabling you to manage significant portions of large accounts or several smaller ones with considerable autonomy from your business director and senior management. You will possess strong client counseling, project management, budgeting, PR program development, people management, and business development skills, with a proven track record in driving growth for both clients and our team. You will build and maintain the confidence and support of client contacts, fostering robust relationships across their organizations. As an agency leader, you will consistently demonstrate the ability and drive to deliver on our vision, performance requirements, and growth projections.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Educational Background: Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or other related disciplines.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of relevant PR, marketing, or agency experience. Fewer years of experience are considered for Senior Associate roles.
  • Account Leadership & Management: Proven ability to independently lead and manage multiple client accounts or projects, guiding day-to-day work, and serving as a primary client contact.
  • Strategic Program Development: Expertise in developing, overseeing, and executing comprehensive PR programs, including implementation plans, evaluation mechanisms, and staffing strategies, consistently achieving public relations objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, anticipating needs, proactively resolving challenges, and ensuring team understanding of client dynamics.
  • Media & Influencer Savvy: Strong media relations strategy development skills, coupled with an established network of key industry, editorial, investment community, and professional contacts.
  • Presentation & Counseling: Exceptional presentation skills with a demonstrated leadership presence, capable of providing insightful public relations counsel in various settings.
  • Content & Communication Mastery: Expert in directing the development of diverse PR materials (e.g., press releases, speeches, articles, presentations, collateral) with excellent English and Chinese writing and communication skills.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in developing and monitoring project budgets, contributing to financial forecasting, overseeing billing, and meeting billability targets.
  • Business Development Drive: Proven leadership in identifying and driving organic account growth, proactively pursuing new business opportunities, and delivering strong analyses, strategies, and concepts for pitches.
  • Analytical & Creative Problem-Solving: Strong strategic planning capabilities, creative thinking, and a passion for solving complex problems, challenging the status quo, and exploring new possibilities.
  • Digital & Emerging Media Literacy: Familiarity with creative processes, multi-media production (graphic, video), IT, and emerging media trends.
  • Proactive & Growth-Oriented: A self-starter with a proactive attitude, anticipating needs and opportunities, coupled with a keen interest in continuously growing your skills and expanding your network within the public relations industry.
