Construction Supervisor

AI overview

Lead construction efforts across major geothermal projects, ensuring safety and cohesion within diverse teams while advancing sustainable energy initiatives.

Te āhua o te tūranga – The nature of the role

As our Construction Supervisor  you’ll play a pivotal role in the delivery of our steamfield works for Te Mihi 2A and beyond. Day to day, you’ll be out in the field supporting safe, high‑quality construction across everything from separation plants and pumping systems to cross‑country pipelines and wellpad facilities. You’ll be the steady hand keeping things coordinated within our Major Projects whānau, ensuring the mahi aligns with the project mandate, integrates seamlessly with other workstreams and meets the delivery dates that keep the wider project humming.

This is a role for someone who thrives in the thick of mahi — connecting people, asking smart questions, spotting risks early and keeping momentum strong. You’ll work closely with contractors, engineers, HSWE specialists and our project team, creating an environment where safety is embedded, communication flows and everyone understands the bigger picture. Whether you’re at a toolbox, a pre‑start, or a quick kōrero over a coffee, your ability to give clear context and keep people aligned will be key to the project’s success.

Ko wai koe – About you

We’re looking for someone with experience leading large‑scale construction in complex environments, ideally in power generation and even better if geothermal is part of your story. That said, if you bring strong construction leadership experience, a collaborative approach and a curiosity for the geothermal world, we’d still love to hear from you. What’s essential is your ability to communicate clearly, influence effectively and build strong working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders, from contractors to community groups and hapū.

You’ll bring a calm, solutions‑focused mindset, especially when things get busy. You’ll be known for modelling great safety behaviours, navigating the grey with confidence and keeping people informed in a way that brings clarity rather than noise. Agility, high energy and a knack for motivating others will help you thrive, and your willingness to embrace diverse thinking, respect tikanga and contribute to outcomes that benefit both Contact and the wider community will set you apart. If you’re someone who sees the long‑term legacy of a project — for the whenua, for Aotearoa and for future generations — this could be your next big step.
