Construction Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. The position supports a general contractor focused on complex building and infrastructure work across multiple sectors. This is a strong fit for someone who can balance field execution with financial and operational oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial and industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contracts to confirm scope and constructability
  • Track project financials including job costs, billing, change orders, and forecasting
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality standards
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and all project documentation throughout the lifecycle
  • Communicate updates and progress with clients, leadership, and key stakeholders
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction project management
  • Background working with a general contractor on ground-up or large renovation projects
  • Experience managing projects in the $1M–$20M+ range preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance
  • Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
