Our client is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the development and execution of utility-scale renewable energy and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects — beginning with a 200MW site within ERCOT, Texas.
This role involves overseeing EPC contractors, managing construction logistics, ensuring HSE and QA/QC compliance, and coordinating handover to Operations & Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee project delivery from planning to commissioning
Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors throughout all construction phases
Ensure full compliance with HSE, QA/QC, and permitting requirements
Oversee logistics, material sourcing, and customs clearance
Provide regular project and site reports to the headquarters in Japan
Manage project handover activities, including punch lists and COD documentation
Ideal Candidate Profile
4+ years in utility-scale renewable energy construction
Proven experience managing EPC contracts and contractor performance
Knowledge of U.S. environmental regulations and permitting
Familiarity with ERCOT or similar ISO grid standards
Experience in BESS or PV+BESS project execution (preferred)
Strong background in QA/QC and safety management
Excellent cross-cultural communication, ideally with experience working with Japanese HQ teams
PMP or PE license highly desirable
