Role Overview

The Construction Manager oversees electrical site delivery on major data-centre projects. You will lead site teams, ensure safe and compliant installation, coordinate daily operations, and maintain quality from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Site Management & Supervision

• Oversee electricians, subcontractors and site operatives.
• Plan daily tasks, manage labour, materials and equipment.
• Conduct inspections to verify quality and compliance.
  
  

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Enforce H&S standards, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and BS 7671.
  
  

Project Delivery & Coordination

• Work closely with PMs, engineers and main contractors.
• Track progress against programme and provide weekly reporting.
• Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
  
  

Client & Stakeholder Liaison

• Act as the on-site point of contact.
• Attend project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
  
  

Commercial & Resource Control

• Manage site budgets, variations and material usage.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of electrical materials.
  
  

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in electrical construction management.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation standards and practices.
• Effective leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to drive productivity in a fast-paced environment.
  

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• ECS/CSCS card.
• SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
• 18th Edition Regulations.
  
  

Desirable

• Experience with Primavera P6 or Procore is desirable.
