Construction Inspector - Variable Seasonal

LaBella Associates is looking for a dedicated Construction Inspector to join our team in the Elmira, NY area. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that construction projects meet quality standards and are completed on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of construction practices.

Duties:

• Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Document all findings including field observations and recommendations.
• Communicate effectively with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues as they arise.
• Prepare daily reports and assist in the compilation of punch lists.
• Monitor quality of materials and workmanship.

Requirements

• 7+ years of construction inspection experience, preferably in Water and Wastewater facilities, and underground utility projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• OSHA 10-Hour Safety certification is preferred.

Salary Range: $35 - $45 per hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
