Position Description: We are looking for a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Team in our Traverse City office. The candidate must have a High School Diploma and a minimum of two years of experience. Concrete & Density Testing and MDOT inspection experience are preferred. A valid driver's license is required. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. Typical responsibilities include:
  • Conduct field inspections
  • Record inspection daily reports
  • Monitor construction operations
  • Measure completed work and calculate pay item quantities
  • Act as the on-site liaison with client and community
  • Organize and maintain construction documentation
  • Develop an understanding of plans and specifications
  • Operate testing equipment
  • Assist Project Manager with contract requirements
  • Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner
  • Attend seminars and/or training courses
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Education:
  • High School Diploma
  • Skills/Experience:
  • Concrete and Density Testing certification preferred 
  • MDOT inspection experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License required
