Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in estimating, with a preference for experience in the construction industry. This role is critical in developing accurate and competitive project cost estimates to support our bidding process and ensure project profitability.
Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary data for estimating.
Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors.
Develop project budgets and proposals based on estimates.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handovers.
Maintain historical cost data and support continuous improvement in estimating processes.
Assist in scheduling and phasing of projects based on estimated timelines and resources.
