Construction Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to support outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) telecommunications projects. This position blends field work with office-based design support.
Key Responsibilities
Field:
Conduct pre-construction site walkouts.
Determine and recommend best fiber construction routes for OSP builds.
Identify permitting requirements for aerial/underground construction.
Locate and document existing utilities.
Identify construction-related issues affecting proposed fiber routes.
Determine ISP pathways to MDF/IDF termination points within buildings.
Office:
Draft proposed route designs using PDF tools or similar software for final construction packages.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) packages.
Track and report weekly construction activity.
Manage permitting with municipalities and compile project documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of telecom FTTH/HFC field construction experience.
Strong understanding of fiber construction methods, engineering principles, and applicable dig laws/regulations.
Ability to read and Understand FTTH/HFC Telecom Construction Prints
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and PDF editing tools.
Ability to work indoors/outdoors, travel to daily field locations, and perform physical site review tasks.
Willingness to work occasional overtime.
Work Environment
This hybrid requires work in the field and in the office. Field work includes walking sites, climbing stairs, and engaging directly with teams and clients. Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and appropriate insurance.
